@ I use Firefox 3.6.3 and Avast. In the past, with different versions of Firefox, there are times that when the first search result for a query is from an infected site, Avast will trigger a warning as soon as the search results display. However, my Avast warning generally identifies the page (or at least the domain) that is triggering the warning which has always been associated with the first search result on the page. At the present time, Avast 5.0.545 is not alerting me to a problem with that search query.

The interesting part is that I had forgotten a web page open from this credit card online access while I got the original Avast warnings mentioned above! I must note also that I had not accessed this credit card website and I did not use for the past couple of years!
Very strange. I must find out what happened here, but Googleing my symptoms did not return significant results.
This all started because i was trying to update a game i play and i kept getting 'read/write error'. So then i used the games torrent to get the update, and that to was having errors. So i looked around online and other game users said disabling your AV while it download will help. So i told avast to turn off for 10 minutes. Best Answer: Try iAntivirus. Any anti-virus that throws up warnings but doesn't isolate the infection is worth less than you paid for it. You talk about deviantart, but the server mentioned in the alert is rk400.com registered to some un-named person using an address of a p.o. Box in Australia.
