Mail For Mac, List Of Junk Mail Addresses? Rating: 8,7/10 9585 reviews

I have a user that is getting the error message in Lotus Notes version 8.5.3 ' Limit for Junk Mail Addresses reached. Please delete addresses before adding more' I took a look in his mail rules of his junk mail and saw that he had around 5-600 email addresses being blocked. He wants to continue blocking all the spam he gets on a daily basis, but does not want to remove any of the other blocked email addresses.

Junk Mail Protection continues to 'accept' mail from the Blocked Senders list. I have searched this website and mostly find responses to problems similar to mine that say the Junk Mail Protection of Outlook for Mac doesn't apply to Exchange accounts. Jul 11, 2014 - Outlook for Mac 2011 handles Junk E-mail differently depending on the type. If you added email addresses to the Blocked Senders list, emails.

Does anyone know if this is possible in some way, or can the size restriction of amount of blocked addresses be increased somehow? Hi WOWGuy26,,, -You mentioned the following >>>I took a look in his mail rules of his junk mail and saw that he had around 5-600 email addresses being blocked. He wants to continue blocking all the spam he gets on a daily basis, but does not want to remove any of the other blocked email addresses. Thank you both for responding. I have run across both of those articled while searching for a solution/alternative way to block spam. Unfortunately the notes administrator here does not have the time to go through all of the e-mail addresses of the user that he is getting spam from.

I work at a relatively large company, and there is only 1 notes admin for several thousand users. So Really I am just trying to see if there is any other way around this message using the built in mail rules, but with somehow getting around that error message or increasing the amount that the rule can hold. I came across this link The person there says that there is code that limits the size of the mail rules in the junk folder to hit the ever so dreaded 32k limit. I wonder if there is a way to find out where that code is so I can change the # to something higher?

Outlook 2016 for Mac (aka Outlook for Mac for Office 365) has some changes compared to Outlook for Mac 2011 in regards to Junk Email Protection. This blog post will explain how Outlook 2016 for Mac handles Junk Email Protection. Please see the previous Blog post for more information on how Outlook for Mac 2011 handles Junk Email Protection. The first item to understand is that there are two types of junk email filtering: sever-side and client-side. Server-side junk filtering takes place on the mail server (such as Exchange) as soon as email arrives in the mailbox.

Client-side junk filtering takes place on the client (such as Outlook & Outlook for Mac) when the email is downloaded from the server to the client. Outlook 2016 for Mac does not provide any client-side junk mail protection for any type of account (Exchange, POP, or IMAP). Instead, it relies solely on the mail server to perform all junk email filtering. Emails are not scanned client-side by Outlook 2016 for Mac to determine if they are junk email. Exchange servers provide server-side junk mail filtering, and most popular email providers, such as Hotmail, Outlook.com, Gmail, and Yahoo, provide server-side junk mail filtering, making client-side Outlook junk filtering redundant. It’s important to understand that junk mail filtering and blocked senders are not the same thing, although they are often used in conjunction. Junk filtering is when emails headers and content is scanned for characteristics that makes the email likely to be junk. When you add an email address to the Blocked Senders list, emails from that email address are always moved to the Junk E-Mail folder. I’ll cover and in more depth later in this blog post. Under the Outlook menu, Preferences, Junk in Outlook 2016 for Mac, you will find that there is no longer a Junk Email Protection Level setting, as there was in Outlook for Mac 2011.
