I would like to set the default for the 'Footnote' style to a smaller pitch, but it is not available in the 'styles' list, nor can I select all similar. I do a lot of research papers. I post the URL in the footnote. Today's URLs tend to be very long, and leaves half a line above as it jumps to the next line. By reducing the font to 9 or 8, the notes are more presentable. Contrary to Doug's instructions, this style will NOT be listed in the Styles and Formatting task pane even if you select All Styles, but there are several other ways to access it: 1.
