After a long download, asked me for my admin password but actual update failed for following dialog (Unexpected error). I tried this several times. Finally I manually downloaded the updates via the link provided in the autoupdate dialog.

These actually DID install fine. And I am now at 1.5.0.

The questions. Why did it fail?

Will future updates fail? And finally why would update via autoupdate fail to install after download but manual downloads of the seemingly SAME packages succeed? Should have nothing to do with the comments I have seen posted about autoupdate server issues (downloads showing up more than one time for update or not at all), as the files did download and show appropriately, and when I manually updated, AutoInstall now longer shows any available updates for me. This and several other issues I have posted has me thinking that perhaps Office 2016 is not yet ready for product use.
